We can't believe we are wrapping up September! That means we are less than a month out from User Conference 2021! This User Conference will mark number 20! Shoulda been 21 to coincide with the year but what had happened was...LOL. Either way, we are so excited to see everyone!
User Conference 2021
Yes! User Conference is still on and happening in person! We will not be hosting a virtual component because we really want our team to focus on those who are onsite and nothing drives me crazier than when the drive threw at Starbucks gets more attention than the inside counter. Hello. I'm right here! 😁 So, we're gonna focus and make sure the event is great.
There might be some concerns with going live and meeting in person but, did you know "According to new research released by Epistemix, attending large in-person business events is safer than many daily activities, and hosting the events does not increase local COVID-19 case rates" according to a recent article by Encore Global (2021). "That’s because at any size event, more than 80 percent of the attendees will be fully vaccinated. And cleaning protocols at events, hotels, and airports tend to be more stringent than at home, at schools, or your average restaurant" (Encore Global, 2021). Welp to my local restaurant reading this. Ha Ha!
All jokes aside, Live by Loews is prepared and ready for us! They've put in some amazing protocols to help ensure our safety to include the following:
Covid Safety Protocols
Masks | Face Coverings:Masks and face coverings will be available onsite for those who wish to wear them. Whatever your comfort, we want you to feel confident in wearing or not wearing based on CDC guidelines. I know we all already have at least 5 fashion-forward masks hanging on the rear-view mirror of our car, but in the event you forgot them and want one, no worries, we got you covered. Literally.
WELL Healthy-Safety Rating:Loews has been identified as one of the first hospitality brands to receive the WELL Health-Safety Rating for Facility Operations and Management through the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the global authority on healthy buildings. That's big stuff. It means they are some clean freaks and in order to obtain the WELL Health-Safety Rating, each of their buildings must meet criteria focused on cleaning and sanitization procedures. The WELL Health-Safety Rating is an evidence-based, third-party verified assessment. I hate to say it, but they might be cleaner than my own crib. Don't tell my mother-in-law!
Daily Cleaning Standards: Everyday standards will include cleaning guestrooms, meeting rooms, outlets, corridors, and public areas with a Peroxide Multi-Surface Cleaner and Disinfectant, an EPA-approved product effective against emerging viral pathogens including COVID-19. The process includes the frequent cleaning of “high touch areas” and hand sanitizer stations everywhere.
Housekeeping Your Way: This means that housekeeping is ultimately up to you. When you check in, the front desk team will let you know what options are available at that specific property. You may decide to not have service, or allow us to do some daily tidying up or whatever works for you and your comfort level.
Social Distancing: Now that everything has been wiped down, we still wanna make sure ya'll are keeping a safe social distance so classroom-style seating will be spaced out in education sessions and our Thursday Customer Appreciation Party will be outdoors to help ensure we're keeping everyone at a smart distance. Note, the party is also a Halloween theme so nobody would even be shocked if you showed up in a hazmat suit! Do it! LOL.
Shake Your Phone, Not Your Hands: We have an app for those who don't want to shake hands or elbow bump. It's ok. We know ya'll were like that before Covid. 😆 The app allows conference attendees to exchange information with their own personal QR Code and it will also allow you to apply for CPE without having to shuffle paper. Download the app foriOS and/orGoogle Play.
Cancellations: If you're still just not feeling it or if you become sick, or someone you know has become sick, it's ok! Cancellations for User Conference are easy to do by contacting Nicole Durham. Also, please don't forget to cancel your room if you booked one to avoid those fees. Please contact the Loews hotel directly at +1 (800) 235-6397.
